Maternity Pictures - 36 Weeks

I recruited my sister, Kim, to take a few maternity photos today.  It was also a great excuse to try out our new camera.  I have to thank Becky for donating her maternity pants.  My maternity wardrobe is quite limited.  Now that I am on bed rest, there's no reason to buy maternity clothes at this point.  I managed to find a few things to wear aside from the workout gear that I have been sporting at home lately.

Love You Forever

Brad order the book, Love You Forever, for Pierce.  I was at home on bed rest, and Rachel was over. We were watching tv, and there was a knock on the door.  I was confident that it was a delivery, but I assumed that it was something that I ordered for Pierce.  I went to open the package, and I saw that it was for Brad.  The label said that it was from Amazon.  It is not unusual for Brad to order books from Amazon.  I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed because I have been waiting for something that I ordered on ETSY.  When Brad came home from work, I showed him the package.  He opened it up and handed it to me.  Brad definitely put a huge smile on my face.  The book was recommended to him by a friend, and he was so cute to order it.  I am confident that this is only the beginning of many more "exciting Daddy moments".  I can't wait to embrace each and every one of them.  I am excited to add this book to our collection, and I cannot wait to read it to baby Pierce.

Care Package for Daddy

Daddy came home today with a care package from the guys (Trey and Greg) at work.  They hooked him up with some magazines, beer, snacks, etc.  He is all set for our visit to the hospital!  Way to go guys - It was a very thoughful gift for Brad!  :)

Since going into labor at 25 weeks, our goal has been to make it to 36 weeks.  I am excited to say that we have officially made it.  Today, we are 36 weeks along.  We saw the doctor on Monday, and she told us that Baby Pierce will be here within the next week or so.  We cannot wait to meet our little man.

Brad's Night Out

Brad, Dad, Maury, and Brian enjoyed a "guy's night" at the Petroleum Club.  While the guys were enjoying their cigar night, mom and I had a "girl's night in.".  We ate Fajita Pete's, rented movies, and hung out.  The boys don't know what they missed out on.  We baked cookies, watched No Strings Attached, and watched The Proprosal.  When the guys came home, they were in a great mood as you can see in the pictures.  Evidently, they won a few prizes too - cigars, Astros tickets, and a watch.  I am glad that the guys were able to enjoy their night out!

Mother's Day

A balloon and flowers from Aunt Kim
I love the book from Daddy.
 Thank you Aunt Kim!
 Brad found the perfect gift!
 The room is ready.

What a special day!  It was so much fun to celebrate Mother's Day as an expecting mom especially being so close!  I got to spend the evening with Brad, my parents, and Kim.  It was so nice to have company and to visit with all of them.  I love the book that Brad bought me.  I have already started filling out his book with fun tidbits about mommy, daddy, world news, gas prices, etc.  It was a very special day for my mom.  It was not only Mother's Day, but it was also her birthday.  Mom, I love you.  You are the perfect role model for motherhood, and I hope that I can follow in your footsteps.
