4 Months Old

Pierce is four months old.

Today is Pierce's four month birthday.  Wow, I cannot believe that he is four months old already.  We go to the doctor tomorrow for his four month checkup.  I cannot wait to see how much he weighs.  I hope that the shots go well; it was tough for two days after his two month shots.  We'll hope for the best!

During the past month, Pierce has continued to express himself more and more through squeaky laughs, cooing, and lots of noises.  He smiles more and more each day.  I love the sound of him laughing.  I often wonder what he is trying to communicate when he makes all of those cute little noises. 

His sleeping and eating schedules are about the same as last month.  He wakes up swaddled and stretches his arms out when I unvelcro him.  He takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap.  He goes to bed around 8:00-8:30 p.m.  He wakes up around 3:00 and 6:00 for a feeding.  We are up for the day around 7:00 a.m.  He eats about 3 ounces every few hours.

Pierce is wearing 3-6 month clothes, although he still fits into most of his 0-3 month clothes.  He is definitely getting taller.  We'll find out his exact length tomorrow.  His hair is getting longer.  I love his wild, uncontrollable curls. 

During the day, Pierce enjoys playing on his mat, holding toys, swinging, jumping in his doorway jumper, jumping in his jumparoo, playing in the pack and play (ok...so he lays on his back), etc.  He is more and more interested in books as I read them to him. 

Happy 4 Months Sweet Baby Pierce!!!!  We love you so much!
