Week 45 - April 8-14

Pierce is 44 weeks old.
What will I do on Saturday mornings after he turns a year old?  I will miss our Saturday ritual of taking these pictures.
Once he gets the paper, that's it!!!
When I go into his room each morning, he is talking away.  Happy First Easter Sweet Pierce!!!
The Easter Bunny visited the Applewhite household.
Pierce took a peek at his goodies.
 He liked the crinkly grass.
Why eat Easter eggs when you can eat the grass?
He discovered that there was something inside of the eggs. What is that noise?
The Easter Bunny put Lucky Charms inside his Easter eggs.  He really liked the marshmallows.
Hey, that was tasty.  I'll go for another one.
Forget this one at a time business, let's dump all of them out of the basket.
 That's better!
 Grass = Fun
Pierce enjoyed Easter shaped pancakes for breakfast.
Daddy gave Pierce his breakfast.
He poked a hole in the egg shaped pancake, and he decided that he wanted to eat that one first.
 Yum yum.
Our morning was awesome.  It can only get better!
Pierce decided that he was going to crawl around his playroom with an egg in tow.

 Our Family
Grandpa served wine.
Pierce drank water out of Mimi's crystal glass.
 Kami entertained Pierce.
Pierce gave Aunt Kim an Easter card.
Pierce had a private Easter egg hunt.
 And he's off...
He was happy with one egg.
Mimi and Grandpa put Peeps inside the eggs.  Yum.
Daddy helped Pierce.

Now, show your bottom teeth...
 Love this pic!
The Girls
Daddy taught Pierce how to put his eggs inside the basket.
Still hunting...
Pierce enjoyed hitting two eggs together.
This is fun.  You'll  notice that Pierce is in the same spot, but the eggs have moved closer to him.  Ha!
Look what I have...
These are mine!
I will try to eat one.
Lots of fun!
I love Easter Sunday!
Yah!
Mommy and Pierce
Big smiles...
Serious Sequence game going on...
Aunt Kim, will you please take me swimming?
She said, "YES!"
He made big splashes.
Daddy and Pierce wore their Masters' shirts in honor of the tournament (on tv).
Pierce has learned something new.  If you lift the pieces of the mat, they come apart.
He has fun taking it apart and chewing on the pieces.
Quack, quack.
Happy Easter!
He is checking it out.
Hmmm...
Guilty!  He likes to open the bottom drawer of Mommy's vanity.
He enjoys crawling under the kitchen table.
I have moved the chairs so that he can maneuver around.  He doesn't like it when the chairs get in the way.
On the move...

We had a play date at Lea's house.
Pierce enjoyed Lea's swing.
Daddy and Pierce
We went to the zoo as a family.
Can you believe that it was Daddy's first time at the Houston Zoo?
They played the drums.

Pierce was also interested in the big kids around us.
My two guys...
Daddy found an app that plays animal noises.  It was a big hit!
Pierce pet a cow.
The cow was very patient with Pierce.
Daddy showed him how to pet the cow softly.
He also pet a goat.
Pierce likes animals.
We had a sleepover with cousin Eliska. They enjoyed eating dinner.
Cousin Eliska
Pierce
They played and giggled and had so much fun.
They played basketball.
Eliska was great about taking turns with Pierce.
During her turn, she took a shot at the goal.  During his turn, he chewed on the ball.
They gave each other a BIG HUG good night.
Pierce said good morning to his big cousin.
He loves her so much.
Eliska picked out shapes for her pancakes.
She cut her pancakes into shapes.
Pierce ate an alligator.
Yum, yum
They play very well together.
Pierce tried to do everything that his cousin did.  I love how he held his foot in the air.
He LOVES his musical instruments.
