Pierce is 47 weeks old
He likes his tambourine.
He also likes to slam it on the ground.
Carlos shared this picture from last Saturday at Discovery Green. After seeing it, I realized that he needs a haircut.
Pierce ate pretzels for the first time. He likes them.
Pierce enjoyed playing with Alex and Santiago.
Pierce's two top teeth are coming in so he's been a bit fussy this week. I was able to keep him entertained by the cardboard pieces from two hangers. Who knew!?!
He hit them together, slammed them on the ground, chewed on them, etc.
He is easily entertained by anything new.
These are two of the cheapest toys yet.
ISR Swim Lessons Day 5
The teacher is shaping his arms and legs.
He likes to wave while floating which isn't the best technique.
They took a quick rest.
Pierce still cries during lessons, but I can already see progress.
When he flips over, she teaches him to turn onto his back.
It is very hard to be on the sidelines for this, but I manage to get through it. :)
He is learning that the back float is his natural position in the water.
Mommy gets through the lessons only because I know that the outcome is so worth it. Otherwise, I would be a big hot mess.
Pierce rested after his lessons.
Pierce loves books.
At last, he got his third haircut.
Due to teething, Pierce hasn't eaten much this week. I caved and gave him his first cookie.
He usually investigates new foods, but he went straight for a bite.
He pointed to the chocolate. Yummy!
Look at that smile.
All of a sudden, Pierce had an appetite.
He loved the cookie.
We moved on to healthier items.
Thank you mom for a great meal!
Let's clap, "yay".
He is pulling up on everything.
He likes to push his truck around the house.
He gets upset when it gets stuck or when it flips onto its' side.
More pulling up...
Breakfast at the Bellaire Coffee Shop
Daddy came to watch Pierce's swim lessons.
He is ready to go.
Day 6 of ISR Swim Lessons
The lessons are short, but they work very hard.
He was crying and saying "Mum mum mum".
Today is the first day that Pierce floated unassisted. He floated for about 5 seconds on his own. Go Pierce!!!
He is doing a great job!
When he flipped onto his stomach, his teacher guided him back to the back float.
He floated again unassisted for a few seconds.
After lessons, they are supposed to rest on their left side. It's quite the task to keep him on his side.
He prefers to sit up and chat with everyone.
...or play with toys!
Murree is a very patient dog. Pierce enjoyed putting his book on top of Murree. Poor Dog!
As soon as Pierce removed the book, Murree bolted for the other room.
We went to Toys R Us to buy a gift for a birthday party. He was very fussy so I got the brilliant idea to let him sit (emphasize sit) inside the cart. The sitting part didn't last long. Oh my!!!
We went to Ava's birthday party, and Pierce loved the bubbles.
Daddy and Pierce
We sang Happy Birthday to Ava.
Pierce clapped while Ava cried.
When you tell Pierce to smile, he has started to make this silly face.
I gave Pierce a cupcake in the grass to minimize the mess.
He went straight for it.
He put his fingers in the icing.
He crumbled the cake and threw it on the ground.
My serious 'lil driver...
Pierce cried while the kids ripped the Elmo pinata apart. He didn't care too much about the candy either, but he did like the stick at the opposite end of the lolipop. He hasn't been introduced to candy yet, and we'll try to keep it that way for as long as possible.
Mommy had a girls night out. As I told him bye, Daddy took a picture. Here is his "cheese" pose. (open wide and lean your head back..ha)

He picked up the plate and put it in his mouth. My little sweetheart doesn't know what he missed out on. :)
